I will be visiting my grandmother later today to help her pack and get rid of some things. She will be visiting our relatives in Asia. She will be staying for a month or more if she likes it there. Grandma is even thinking about staying there for good if she will get used to the culture, people and the weather. She had been to Asia many times and she admits that she is intrigued and fascinated by the continent’s aura.

As I went in Grandma’s house, she was in the kitchen wrapping some china in paper and placing them carefully inside a box. I waved to her and immediately went to my Grandma’s side. I hugged her and kissed her cheek. Then, Grandma pointed to a huge box and the floor and told me to take it home.

I asked her what the contents of the box where and she just answered with a simple “this and that.” I opened the box and found the beautiful china set I have set my eyes on. I have been drooling about them ever since I was thirteen. I also saw my favourite Wilton cake pan as well as a few springform ones. I will miss my Grandma.

My kitchen is the busiest place in my house since I am always in charge of cooking for my family. For 6 years now, I have noticed a total change in our glass mosaic backsplash. Maybe because I had done in clear glass that I had grown bored with its appearance. I looked up different designs on the internet which will allow me to design my backsplash with a twist. I really want to make it very beautiful and inspiring at the same time so that when I cook, I will always enjoy the experience of doing so. I found myself for shopping for backsplashes made out of stained glass. This backsplash design really reinvented my whole kitchen since it added a little more texture and color in my own kitchen.
